Manhattan Watch Co. New York, N.Y. 1883 – 1893 The Manhattan Watch Co. made mainly low cost production watches. A complete and full line of watches was made, and most were cased and styled to be sold as a compete watch. The watches were generally 16 size with full plat4 movements. The patented winding mechanism was different. These watches were both in hunter and open-face cases and later had a sweep second hand. Total production was 160,000 or more watches. A two button chronograph just sold at auction for over $900.

This is a Rare example with a THREE STAR RARITY in all price guides; Manhattan Watch Co. 2 Button STOP WATCH with a fancy mint yellow gold filled screw back and bezel original case. The Dial is a mint Enamel with original Gold Spade hands and sweep seconds and signed "Manhattan Watch Co.'. Very nice. 7j, serial No. 159,700. Movement marked: Manhattan Watch co. Patented United States & Great Britain, full plate gilt.

The inside of the screw back yellow gold filled fancy case is marked: MWC0 (Manhattan Watch Co.) by Fahys Watch Case Co. Original to the dial and movement. Fully operational, runs, but needs lubrication; sold as is. This watch has been sitting in a safe for over 50 years. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET, BITCOIN, BONDS.
