Manhattan Watch Co. New York, N.Y. 1883 – 1893 The Manhattan Watch Co. made mainly low cost production watches. A complete and full line of watches was made, and most were cased and styled to be sold as a compete watch. The watches were generally 16 size with full plat4 movements. The patented winding mechanism was different. These watches were both in hunter and open-face cases and later had a sweep second hand. Total production was 160,000 or more watches. A two button chronograph just sold at auction for over $900.

Manhattan Watch Co. Time Only with a unique Special Setting button; WOLF TEETH Winding Circa: 1884. 16 size, open face full plate gilt with a rare low serial No. 5370. Wolf's Teeth wind gear Patented Nov. 27th 1883. Running well. Mint original paper dial with Roman figures singed "Manhattan" time only. The original nickel plain snap back and bezel case is in excellent condition. The setting button is a screw to set the time! Unique and previously unknown. Sold "as is". THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE.
