New York, N.Y. 1883 – 1893
The Manhattan Watch Co. made mainly low cost production watches. A complete and full line of watches was made, and most were cased and styled to be sold as a compete watch. The watches were generally 16 size with full plate movements. The patented winding mechanism was different. These watches were both in hunter and open-face cases and later had a sweep second hand. Total production was 160,000 or more watches. A two button chronograph just sold at auction for over $900.

Wonderful original condition! The wolf teeth winding wheel was patented Nov. 27, 1884. Serial No. 89,574.This American produced watch is a very rare variation of only 160,00 total production for this company.
