This 3/4 plate two-tone, gilt trimmed 23j is one of the only examples known to the Hampden collector. Hampden Railroad Models were famous for their beautiful two-tone movement models. The better-preserved bold colors, the higher the value. This example is a Rare 3/4 Plate. HAMPDEN 23 Jewel 16 Size 3/4 Plate TWO-TONE 1887. 3/4 Plate nickel, gilt trimmed, 14k screw down main spring barrel and all jewel settings, lever set, "SR", No. 1,040,819. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE.
